The Cyber Scallywags Story

Originating in the Welsh Valleys
The Welsh Valleys have a storied history of solidarity, heavy industry, and community mutualism. As the world shifts towards digital systems, artificial intelligence, and graph networks, technical skills should not be confined to elite metropolitan tech hubs.
Cyber Scallywags was established to build grassroots digital sovereignty. We believe people learn best through playful curiosity, authentic software craftsmanship, open knowledge sharing, and building projects that actually help their neighbours.
The Scallywag Spirit
A "Scallywag" is slightly rebellious, fiercely curious, and unafraid to dismantle systems to understand how they function. Yet, our community is governed with deep responsibility, professional standards, and safe spaces for all learners.
Autonomous Social Clubs
Rather than forcing everyone into one rigid mould, the platform powers autonomous clubs:
- Pythonista Social Club: The craft of Python, APIs, testing, and automation.
- Graphinista Social Club: Knowledge graphs, Neo4j, Cypher, and relational cognition.
- Future Clubs: Community data, cybersecurity, digital heritage, and open hardware.
